The world is full of People & Planet heroes. We’re here to share their stories.

Our mission

We’re on a mission to share stories of courageous People & Planet heroes around the globe, to inspire more people and organisations to take action to solve the climate crisis.

About the host.

Hi, I’m Jacob. It’s a pleasure to meet you!

Father of two. Loving husband. Lover of life and the planet we call home.

I’ve always felt the urge to contribute to solutions to climate change. Like for so many others, life then got in the way, making me fall into a comfortable slumber. I used to tell myself that “it’s probably not that bad, and I for one is certainly not doing too bad”. In retrospect, it’s pretty obvious how wrong I was and how badly we humans have really messed things up.

At peak career I got kids, which once again sparked that constructive curiosity. What kind of world did I want to pass on to them? If I was not part of the solution, I was probably part of the problem. This soul-searching exploration led me to spend 500 hours during 2020 to deep dive into the biggest challenges we as humanity need to solve to create a people & planet positive future.

With almost a decade’s professional experience from helping organisations transform, and helping leaders to design future-fit mindsets and behaviours, I decided now is the time to focus all of that experience on the single biggest challenge humanity has ever faced.

The idea for this podcast was born out of a desire to share stories from people at the forefront, devoting their lives to save our beloved planet. Being a believer in humanity’s ability to turn this sinking ship around, I have an ambition to grow this podcast into a platform for guests to voice things that really matter, and for listeners to get inspired to take action themselves.

However small my contribution turns out to be, if just one person decides to change something for the better in his or her life, it has been worth all the time and energy I’ve put into it.

Stay curious. Stay optimistic. And most importantly: Let’s get to action.

Much love,

Jacob
